Scabious, the ‘Pin Cushion’ flower

Scabious, the ‘Pin Cushion’ flower – a wonderful perennial plant, for colour and form of the flower, with a lovely leaf shape. I included them in a modern wildlife garden, I designed and built last year.

These were flowering in April when I planted them and, after a mild winter, still flowering now.

And a big plus – a great plant for feeding bees and butterflies.
