Health
The health of the environment, plants, wildlife and our own health.
Organic methods work with nature rather than battle it, by using natural materials and avoiding chemical pesticides and herbicides, the negative effects of which are now being seen.
These methods protect natural ecosystems like soil, which then reduces CO2 release.
For all of these reasons, organic gardening is the only sustainable way to move forward and protect biodiversity.
What is organic design?
Organic design links style with wildlife and nature.
We all want a beautiful garden and most people want to protect the environment – particularly now.
It’s commonly believed that a wildlife garden has to be a scruffy plot or a meadow, but this isn’t the case – many beautiful garden plants provide both plentiful food and habitats for our endangered bees and butterflies, for example.
Organic Gardens Stourbridge uses good design alongside the best plants and materials, to create beauty and style in your garden.
How?
- Organic Gardens Stourbridge uses organic methods, supporting nature.
- We make plant choices that attract, feed and home wildlife.
- We select plants that, with reasonable care, need no chemical intervention.
- We also work to protect our soil and the life systems within it.
- We use natural and recycled materials in building gardens, minimising the chemicals and CO2 release in the manufacturing of garden products.
- We reduce waste as much as possible.
- We only work locally, to reduce the release of CO2 and other emissions.
- We give our clients advice and support that will help maintain the natural schemes created.
These before and after photos show a recently redesigned front garden, using plants that provide all year colour and shape. In its first summer season, the garden was full of nectar producing flowers, attracting a huge number of bees and butterflies, much to the pleasure of the garden’s owners.
